Brachytherapy services are currently provided at four major medical
centers. Almost all insurance carriers are accepted including Medicare and
Medi-Cal. However, not all facilities accept the same insurance
carriers--please contact the center you are interested in to determine if your
insurance is accepted at that center. Prostate seed implants
are available at all 4 centers, however, only California Pacific Medical Center
has both prostate seed implants and HDR (high dose rate) brachytherapy.
